Rodney Barganier (R. F. Barganier, LLC) is a Partner with the law firm of Petway, Tucker & Barganier, LLC, Birmingham, Alabama, where he specializes in the areas of products liability, work place injuries, road/highway design matters and other cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. Mr. Barganier is licensed to practice in all the Courts of Alabama, and has represented clients in California, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. Most recently, Mr. Barganier has been admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court.
During his first year of practice, Mr. Barganier represented a family from his hometown of Fulton, Alabama in a wrongful death matter involving their mother, which resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement. Most recently, Mr. Barganier was able to negotiate a substantial settlement for a young man who suffered an amputation due to the negligence of a delivery company's driver. Mr. Barganier is often times consulted and associated by other attorneys to prepare cases for trial. In a personal injury matter where he was associated, he helped achieved a verdict of $178,750. In a highway construction - road design matter which caused rainwater to collect and led to hydroplaning fatalities, Mr. Barganier was associated by another firm where he was asked to take lead in discovery which led to a substantial settlement.
Mr. Barganier obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (History) from Birmingham- Southern College, and his law degree from Miles College School of Law, Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to being a graduate of Miles College School of Law, Mr. Barganier is a Professor with the Law School.
Mr. Barganier is a member of the Alabama State Bar; Magic City Bar Association ; National Bar Association; Alabama Lawyers Association (NBA Affiliate Chapter);and Alabama Association of Justice. Mr. Barganier is a Past-President of his NBA Affiliate, Alabama Lawyers Association.
In addition, Mr. Barganier is a board member of the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Association; board of director for the Alabama Association for Justice (2010-11); and board of director with The Dannon Project, a non-profit which assists non-violent offenders transition into society after prison.
Mr. Barganier resides in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. He is married to LaShaunda Myricks Barganier. They have two daughters, Tyra age fifteen (15) and Taylar age eight (8).
