Marwan Porter is a native of Las Vegas Nevada where he attended Bishop Gorman High school. Marwan continued his matriculation at Howard University School of Business and graduated Summa Cum Laude in accounting. Due to his academic achievements, Marwan was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society, the 4.0 club and was named an Academic all American. While at Howard, Marwan played on the Division 1 soccer team. During his senior, year the team won the Mid Continent Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament. Marwan then traveled to Europe where he played professional soccer in Holland.
After finishing his professional soccer career, Marwan attended Howard University School of Law where he sat on the Board of Trustees and fostered strong relationships with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Former CEO and Chairman of AOL Time Warner Richard Parsons, Actress Debbie Allen, Former Mayor Douglas Widler, Actress Phylicia Rashad, Lawyer and Business Executive Vernon Jordan and many other prominent individuals.
After graduating from law school Marwan started his own national thriving law practice. He is licensed to practice law in New York, Washington, DC and Florida. In 2005 Marwan Porter chose to bring his case load to the Willie E. Gary Law Firm. Marwan is a proficient litigator specializing in litigating wrongful death cases, catastrophic personal injury and commercial litigation including tobacco litigation and complex contractual issues. During his time at the Gary Firm, Marwan has assisted the firm in generating over 189 million dollars in trial verdicts and settlements.
As a result of his legal success, Marwan was invited for membership into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum whose membership is limited to lawyers that have achieved verdicts or settlements in the amount of One Million dollars or more. Marwan is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., the American Bar Association, National Bar Association, and the Florida Justice Association.
