Jameil McWhorter is a partner in the Litigation practice, focusing on sports and entertainment law, commercial litigation and family and marital law. In the sports law arena, Jameil has handled contract disputes and family law cases involving athletes in the National Basketball Association, National Football League and Major League Baseball. He has also represented past and current professional athletes in various business capacities. Jameil represents large luxury hotels and other business entities in various business and contract related matters, tort and real estate disputes. He serves as legal counsel to numerous business clients involving cases that pertain to hospitality management, landlord/tenant litigation, and business collection litigation. Jameil has personally handled settlements and/or mediations totaling more than $7 million dollars for various clients. He also devotes a portion of his practice to family law matters including dissolution of marriage and paternity as well as complex financial, child custody and support issues.
