Anthony I. Butler, Esq. is the managing principal of Butler & Associates, a law and consulting firm headquartered in Baltimore, MD. 

As a trial attorney, Anthony assists families and businesses with a variety of legal issues.  Anthony advises his clients on Business Organization, Criminal Defense, Contracts, Employment Law, Family Law, Personal Injury and Trusts & Estate matters. 

In addition to his law practice Anthony serves as a Regional Managing Director with Vantage Solutions, LLC.  As a consultant with Vantage Anthony advises clients on a variety of human resources and employment law matters including the development of corporate diversity strategies, the development and implementation of anti-harassment and discrimination policies, executive coaching and training, and the development of strategic recruiting initiatives. 

An ardent believer of service to others, Anthony serves the legal profession in several ways.  Locally, he served as President of the Monumental City Bar Association (MCBA) in Baltimore, MD. and currently serves on its Judicial Nominating Committee. He also served as the Chairperson of the Maryland State Bar Association's Minorities in the Legal Profession Committee. Nationally, Anthony has served the National Bar Association as a Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Delegate and panelist.  In the American Bar Association (ABA), Anthony was selected as a YLD Scholar in and later served as Chairperson of the ABA YLD Minorities in the Profession Committee. Additionally, he was a member of the Section of Litigation Newsletter Committee and received their Outstanding Newsletter Editor award and continues to serve on an ABA Advisory Panel.

Anthony shows his commitment to the community through his provision of pro bono legal services.  He often speaks as a panelist at local events sponsored by community organizations that include the local chapters of the Urban League Young Professionals Division, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and both Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta sororities. Additionally Anthony provides pro bono advice and counsel to a local child development center in Baltimore, MD, serves on the board of The Concrete Garden, Inc., a mentoring program for young African-American girls, and serves as a volunteer attorney with Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services, Inc.  Anthony is also a member of and volunteers with Black Professional Men, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, which was established to raise awareness and address the social, economic and political awareness needs of the African-American community, especially those of our young males.

Anthony received his B.A. in Political Science from Truman State University and his juris doctor from the St. Louis University School of Law, where he earned an Employment Law Certificate, was on the Mock Trial team, and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award.
